Rwanda Classic Safari (9 Days, 8 Nights)
Day 1: Kigali
Arrive at Kigali Airport where you are met by your guide. Transfer to your hotel
for a briefing and overnight. Overnight at Hotel des Mille Collines. (B)
 Day 2: Kigali - Butare - Nyungwe Forest
After breakfast, depart for Butare. Where we visit the National Museum, the finest
ethnographic museum in East Africa. A traditionally constructed dome can be
seen (Rugo) and as an option we can arrange a performance of the famous
“Intore” dancers. After lunch we drive to Nyungwe for an overnight at the Nyungwe Guest House (Gisakura). (BLD)
Days 3 & 4: Nyungwe Forest
During the two days you will extensively visit Nyungwe, the only remaining high altitude rainforest in East Africa. After an early breakfast, we leave for a guided
nature walk in the Forest in search of primates like the colobus monkey, l’hoests
monkey, grey-cheeked mangabey and blue monkey. Birdwatchers will also appreciate
the exceptional rich bird life. Nyungwe is a primate and bird nirvana! We take all
the time needed to explore Nyungwe and have a second overnight at the Nyungwe
Guest House (Gisakura). (BLD)
Day 5 : Nyungwe - Kibuye
After breakfast we start our exploration of lake Kivu. Along the shores of lake Kivu
you have three resort towns: Cyangungu, Kibuye and Gisenyi. Kibuye with his
Guest House is the most beautiful of the three. On our way to Kibuye we visit the
Genocide Memorial of Bisesero. After lunch at the Guest house, we take time
for some relaxation on the shores of lake Kivu. Overnight at Bethany Guest House.

Dav 6 : Kibuye - Gisenyi - Kinigi
After breakfast, enjoy a boat trip to Gisenyi. You will be picked up in Gisenyi
for lunch and if time allows, we make arrangements to cross the border to Goma
(optional). Visit Goma, devastated by the eruption of the Nyamulagira volcano. The
visit shows the fantastic capabilities of the local population to overcome this natural
catastrophe! We drive to Ruhengeri and Kinigi for an overnight at Mountain
Gorilla Nest. (BLD)
Day 7: Gorilla tracking
After breakfast, report at the Park Headquarters for your gorilla tracking
day. After the trekking, lunch at the Kinigi guest house. ln the afternoon, there is an
excursion to explore the beautiful lakes in the region. Overnight at Mountain Gorilla
Nest. (BLD)
Day 8: Kinigi
Today you have the option of going on a second Gorilla trip or hiking the Bisoke.
(see Options for details). At the end of the day, we drive back to Kigali.

Day 9: Kigali - Departure
After an optional city tour of Kigali, you are transferred to the airport in time to catch your flight out.
